What To Expect
What Is Hypnotherapy?
Working with a clinical hypnotherapist, you are guided into a state of increased suggestibility and concentration. In this state, the conscious mind becomes the observer and allows direct communication with the subconscious mind. This allows the hypnotherapist to assist clients to make changes at a deep subconscious level needed for permanent change.
How Does Hypnotherapy Help?
Together, you and your hypnotherapist will work together to create new positive feelings, pictures, images, sights, sounds, or emotions to replace specific negative ones that you may have gathered unknowingly over the years, or in past lives. The brain cannot tell the difference between what is actually seen and what your hypnotherapist will help you create for your subconscious. Therefore, you can recreate a new story and leave your trauma behind.
Categories for help are, and not limited to: trauma, anxiety and depression, relationship issues,
medical matters, stress, addictions, insomnia, and phobias.

Myths & Misconceptions
Some people wonder how Hypnotherapy works or what happens in hypnosis. Here are some answers to those questions.
Fact: People who are able to concentrate and have a sense of creativity/imagination and just let go are likely the most successful subjects for hypnosis. This is for everyone.
Fact: The old “quack like a duck” has led to some misconception that clients are under the control of the hypnotherapist. Actually, a client’s mind is fully aware during a session as a client can remember everything they say. They can also pull themselves out of a trance if they want to.
Fact: There is a myth that hypnotherapy can be used to manipulate clients to reveal facts about themselves that they ordinarily wouldn’t – that is false! It’s true in session clients may learn things about themselves they may have previously forgotten. Ex: when they were young, and past lives. This assists in understanding of actions, experiences, feelings and behaviours that have been previously confusing to them. Clients only reveal what they are ready to learn about themselves. The mind is actually extremely conscious during these treatments and the client is not asleep.
Fact: Hypnotherapy is a clinical practice not like any other form of psychotherapy used to treat a wide variety of mental, physical and emotional issues. With the assistance of a professionally trained hypnotherapist, clients chose this method to reach a trance-like plane of heightened focus and concentration. Hypnotherapy is recognized by the International Association of Counsellors and Therapists.
Fact: A hypnotherapist has been trained and practiced in the art and science of hypnosis. The real gift is the client’s subconscious mind incorporating a vast amount of personal history past or present and valuable information which leads to self discovery and personal transformation. Hypnotherapists use hypnosis as a tool in their practice of helping people to heal and to expand consciousness. Hypnotherapists are the opposite of mind controllers, they actually act as guides through the client’s journey.
Types of Hypnotherapy
Different methods of Hypnotherapy are often used to get to the results your are looking for. A consultation session will help determine the best route for you.
— 01
Progressive Relaxation Session
Progressive relaxation therapy is a great introduction to hypnotherapy and is used to promote a relaxed state of being. This technique is hypnotherapist led through a relaxed, non interactive session using various scripts guiding the client through direct positive reinforcement to the subciousness.
— 02
Age/Past Life Regression Therapy
A technique for guiding a client backwards in time to re-experience, see or be aware of a previous event or a series of previous events from this lifetime, which is age regression. Clients then may regress beyond childhood into what we consider a past life, and call past life regression. This method is effective for finding the root cause or origin of the problem. This memory or root is most often not consciously known or remembered by the client. The hypnotherapist can then reframe this root memory so their perception is changed and the trauma is released.

Parts Therapy
This is a process of calling out and communicating directly with any and all parts of the subconscious. This method is effective for clients having inner conflict resolution issues. The subconscious has a duty to protect the client, but sometimes it protects from a place of trauma and this causes fragmented parts, negative behaviours and patterns, and self sabotage tendencies. The hypnotherapist can find and release the part that is no longer serving your best self, and then can integrate all parts into a healthy state of being.
The most beneficial technology being hidden from humanity is the power in their own consciousness.

About me
I’m a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist & professional member of the International Association of Counsellors & Therapists (IACT).
My name is Pia Lammers CCHt. After graduating from Douglas College in 2003, my career took me into mental health and addictions with Fraser Health before returning to school and graduating from Coastal Academy of Hypnotic Art and Science in Surrey, BC in 2016. With these backgrounds and years of experience, I help others in areas such as
Trauma, Anxiety & Depression, Relationship Issues, Medical Matters, Stress, Addictions, Insomnia, Phobias and any other negative behaviours or patterns that are holding you captive in your life. Most of these problems are hard to diagnose on your own, and I can take you back to find the root of the issue, and bring you forward with a new perception on your life.
As a human I believe that we all have the ability to change our story, because I am living proof of this concept. I have walked a long journey of survival and pain, and amidst those life lessons I found wisdom. I stumbled upon hypnotherapy while doing a spiritual quest in Southeast Asia. After my first session, I was astonished to see my personal transformation where traditional therapy had not worked in the past.
I knew this was my calling, and here I am.
I am available digitally for your convenience.
